Biography

Nouman Muhib Kakakhel is a distinguished lawyer in Islamabad and Peshawar, practicing across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. He provides expert legal counsel to national and multinational corporations, government departments, banks, and individuals, specializing in complex legal matters with a focus on delivering impactful solutions.

Mr. Kakakhel is one of the few lawyers in Pakistan with experience representing clients before international adjudicatory bodies, including the United Nations Security Council in terrorism-related cases. His extensive international experience allows him to address legal challenges on both domestic and global fronts.

Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Kakakhel is deeply concerned about the constitutional rights of citizens, with a particular focus on digital rights. He is actively involved in public interest litigation, advocating to ensure the protection and enforcement of fundamental rights for the public. His efforts are aimed at holding the state accountable and ensuring that citizens’ rights are respected and upheld, especially in the rapidly evolving digital age.

Mr. Kakakhel heads the camp offices of Kakakhel Law Associates at Judicial Complex Peshawar and at Islamabad Courts which goes by the name and brand Nouman Muhib Kakakhel & Co.

Mr. Kakakhel also serves as an Honorary Counselor against Harassment and as the Vice President of the Pakistan US Alumni Network, contributing his legal expertise to social causes and furthering his commitment to justice and equality.

In addition to his practice, he is a regular contributor to leading newspapers in Pakistan, where he shares his insights on legal and political issues, helping shape the national dialogue on key topics. Through his advocacy, writing, and legal work, Nouman Muhib Kakakhel continues to make significant contributions to both the legal profession and society.
